'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' has made a remarkable impact at the Indian box office, continuing its historic run following a record-breaking opening. The
film, featuring Tom Holland and Zendaya, achieved the largest opening day ever for a Hollywood release in India. In just two days since its debut, the film has surpassed the Rs 100 crore mark, showcasing its strong audience appeal. According to early estimates from Sacnilk, 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' garnered approximately Rs 49.35 crore net on its second day, across 16,902 shows. This brings its total gross collections for Day 2 to around Rs 59.03 crore. Although this figure reflects an 18.6% decline from its impressive opening day collection of Rs 60.60 crore net (approximately Rs 72.44 crore gross), the film's performance remains robust as it heads into an extended weekend. The film's English version continues to lead at the box office, earning an estimated Rs 28 crore net on Friday with a healthy occupancy rate of 47%. Meanwhile, the Hindi-dubbed version has emerged as a strong contender, raking in about Rs 17 crore net and achieving an impressive 90% occupancy across its shows. The southern dubbed versions also contributed, with the Tamil release earning approximately Rs 2.25 crore and the Telugu version adding around Rs 2 crore. The Malayalam and Kannada versions collected about Rs 7 lakh and Rs 3 lakh, respectively. With Friday's earnings, 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' has accumulated an estimated Rs 131.46 crore gross and Rs 109.95 crore net at the Indian box office over just two days, setting a new record for the highest opening day for a non-Indian film in the country. This achievement underscores the film's widespread popularity and the growing market for Hollywood films in India. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' features a star-studded cast, including Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Mark Ruffalo, and Jon Bernthal.
