The comedy series, helmed by Ahmed Khan, is gearing up for a showdown with Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel’s Dragon, which is slated to hit theaters a day earlier on June 25, 2026. Dragon features the star power of RRR actor Jr NTR alongside KGF director Prashanth, marking their first collaboration, while the Hindi film showcases an impressive ensemble of nearly 30 actors.
Welcome to the Jungle confirms release date for June 2026
Following the success of Welcome (2007) and Welcome Back (2015), Ahmed Khan’s Welcome to the Jungle will extend the comedy franchise with its release on June 26. Produced by AA Nadiadwala and Star Studio18, in partnership with Cape of Good Films and Seeta Films, the release date was announced on social media by trade expert Taran Adarsh.
The extensive cast of the Hindi comedy features Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Johnny Lever, Aftab Shivdasani, Lara Dutta, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Daler Mehndi, Farida Jalal, Krishna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Kiran Kumar, Mukesh Tiwari, Yashpal Sharma, Vindu Dara Singh, Nawab Shah, Urvashi Rautela, Puneet Issar, Arjun Firoz Khan, Late Pankaj Dheer, Sudesh Berry, Hemant Pandey, Zakir Hussain, and Sayaji Shinde. The Hindi film has a one-week opportunity at the box office before another comedy, Dhamaal 4, premieres in theaters on July 3, 2026. In addition to Welcome to the Jungle, Akshay Kumar is also set to release Bhoot Bangla and Haiwaan in 2026.
Jr NTR and Prashant Neel’s inaugural collaboration, Dragon
Following Devara Part 1 and War 2, fans of Jr NTR are eagerly anticipating his next project, which is currently in production. Penned and directed by Prashanth Neel, Dragon is an epic action narrative set in 1969. The Telugu film also features Kantara Chapter 1’s Rukmini Vasanth, Fighter’s Anil Kapoor, and Tovino Thomas.
Dragon marks Prashanth's second Telugu venture following Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire. He is also developing its sequel, Salaar: Part 2 - Shouryanga Parvam. Dragon will be the 31st film for Jr NTR. The action film has been filmed at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad and is set to shoot additional scenes in Africa.
