Deepika Padukone, who is seven months pregnant, is reportedly still shooting for her upcoming film Raaka. That's not all, the actress has also been pulling off the physically taxing stunts in the film as it nears the completion of its schedule. Deepika is said to be wrapping up her scenes before going on maternity leave, and the film's crew cannot laud her professionalism and dedication enough. Raaka, directed by Atlee, features Telugu superstar Allu Arjun alongside Deepika. The film is currently targeting a 2027 theatrical release.Raaka is a sci-fi fantasy action film mounted as a pan-India spectacle with elaborate visual effects, action set pieces and an expansive cinematic universe. Sources from the production claimed that the actress was keen to finish her work before going on her maternity leave. All this as she devoted time to her one-and-a-half-year-old daughter Dua, besides her professional duties.Raaka, which previously had the working title of AA22xA6, stunned fans when the first look of Allu Arjun was revealed. The movie also reunites the actor with his Pushpa co-star Rashmika Mandanna. Janhvi Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur are also reportedly playing pivotal characters in the movie.In April this year, reports surfaced that her role in Raaka would be reduced post-pregnancy. However, the team eventually rubbished the rumours and called them baseless. The actress was claimed to be shooting the heavy action scenes with all precautionary measures in place.

The development comes weeks after Deepika Padukone grabbed headlines for advocating structured working hours in the film industry. The actress has been shooting her remaining portions for Raaka despite those discussions. The film is expected to be one of the biggest productions of her career.Recently, reports surfaced that the distributors in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar have begun a bidding war over Raaka. The big distributors from the northern centres are trying hard to get the distribution rights of the upcoming Telugu film.

Deepika's previous project during first pregnancy

Deepika has previously worked on physically demanding films while pregnant with Dua. She supposedly shot action-heavy sequences for Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD and Rohit Shetty's Singham Again during her first pregnancy.Apart from Raaka, Deepika will also be seen alongside Shah Rukh Khan in King, which is being helmed by Siddharth Anand.
