The sad news was shared by his niece, Gina Narang, who is Dev Anand's granddaughter. She requested privacy for the family during this tough time. Suneil had mostly stayed away from the media in recent years. He was Dev Anand's only son and had once tried his luck in acting before stepping back from the spotlight.

Gina Narang confirmed the unfortunate news through an official statement. She said the family is mourning the loss of Suneil Anand with heavy hearts. In her message, Gina thanked everyone for the love and support pouring in. She said the family feels comforted by these kind messages during a hard time. She also requested privacy for the family. She said they need space to deal with this loss together, away from public attention."With heavy hearts, our family mourns the passing of Suneil Anand. We are comforted by the outpouring of love, prayers and support, for which we are truly grateful. We kindly request privacy as we navigate this difficult time together," the statement read.While Gina did not state the reason for Suneil Anand's demise, an India Today report said that he suffered a heart attack.
All About Suneil Anand
Suneil Anand was born on June 30, 1956, in Zurich, Switzerland. His parents, Dev Anand and Kalpana Kartik, were travelling for a film festival at the time. He completed his studies in the US, earning a degree in Business Administration. He later trained in Wing Tsun martial arts in Hong Kong before returning to films.
His father launched him in Bollywood with the 1984 film Anand Aur Anand. Sadly, the movie did not do well at the box office. Suneil later appeared in a few more films, including Car Thief and Main Tere Liye. However, none of these managed to boost his acting career further.After acting did not work out, Suneil shifted his focus to production. He began managing his father's banner, Navketan Films, based in Mumbai.
Dev Anand Passed Away In 2011
Dev Anand, the legendary Bollywood actor, passed away in London on December 3, 2011, at the age of 88. He died due to a heart attack. His death came just two months after his last film, Chargesheet, was released. His ashes were later brought back to India and immersed in the Godavari River.
