Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay will be bidding adieu to Kollywood with Jana Nayagan. The film directed by H Vinoth was scheduled to release before the state elections; however, it was stuck at the censor board due to its political nature. After almost seven months of delay, Jana Nayagan is finally releasing on July 23. While the Indian audience will get to watch its censored version, it will release uncut in the United Kingdom. In Tamil Nadu, the ticket prices are capped at Rs 190, but in other states, seats are being sold at premium rates.

Jana Nayagan ticket prices in Bengaluru

Bengaluru tops the list in selling the most expensive tickets. According to BookMyShow, 6: 30 AM and 6:45 AM shows at INOX: Megaplex Mall of Asia Bangalore are going houseful even when tickets are priced at Rs 1200 for Classic Plus and Prime rows and Rs 2100 for recliner seats. A 6:30 AM show at PVR: Nexus Koramangala is selling tickets at Rs 2400. The lowest-priced seat is worth Rs 1200. Recliner seats at Cinepolis: Nexus Shantiniketan are worth Rs 2500.

On the other hand, as per the Tamil Nadu government’s rule, tickets in the state will be capped at Rs 190. The cheapest ticket is worth Rs 54. Tickets in Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi and Kolkata are priced nominally. They range from Rs 200 to a maximum of Rs 700.

Jana Nayagan was given a July 24 release in the U.K. However, the makers preponed it to July 23 and announced its worldwide release. Before the announcement, the Central Board of Film Certification re-censored the film and its final runtime is 183.52 minutes, that is 3 hours, 3 minutes and 52 seconds. The A rating remains the same.
