Pictures released the second trailer for its most anticipated film of 2026, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, on 18 June 2026. The new trailer, centred on Peter Parker fighting crime alone in a city that no longer recognises him, struck a chord with fans worldwide. It began trending within an hour of its release. With praise pouring in from fans on X across the globe, Tom Holland’s fourth outing as the wall-crawler in the Marvel Cinematic Universe moves closer to its theatrical release on 30 July 2026.
Fans Praise Spider-Man Brand New Day Trailer's Darker, Rawer Tone
As soon as the official X handle of the
Spider-Man movie dropped the trailer, fans didn’t hold back. One user responded with a simple ‘THAT'S MY GOATTTTTTTTT,’ while another user, bolabasket95, took it further, saying the film ‘might be the darkest Spider-Man movie’ yet.
When the movie discussion handle, DiscussingFilm, posted a gif of Sadie Sink’s character from the movie in a masked, hooded look, one user named CynetLan was quick to write, ‘oh my god she's gonna be screwball.’ The fans have been guessing every possible plot twist of the upcoming film, showing the anticipation and excitement among them. Rothstein888 X reaction depicted exactly that, as he called the movie ‘an all timer movie’ and said he ‘cannot wait.’
On the official handle of Sony Pictures, the hype, excitement and energy remained the same among the viewers. X handle, therealsupes posted ‘I need this movie NOWWWW,’ and TeaSven5 kept it short while calling the upcoming movie, ‘PEAK PEAK PEAK!!!!’ ansari.tab94727, put it plainly, saying, ‘This feels darker, raw, and exactly what we needed after No Way Home. July 31 cannot come soon enough!’ Scrollin_fool, said the look and feel should ‘be the norm going forward,’ showing the expectations fans have, adding that fans are about to ‘witness prime Spider-Man.’
X user, Supermange called it ‘the most comic-accurate Spider-Man movie in years,’ praising the team-up between Peter, Frank Castle, and Bruce Banner. NineNineCraig, showcased their happiness on the return of Hulk. He wrote, ‘Hulk is back, baby,’ and user by the name, gentlegiant45 wrapped it up by saying, ‘They cooked.’

Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker, with Zendaya back as MJ. Jon Bernthal reprises his role as Punisher, and Mark Ruffalo is back as Bruce Banner, also known as Hulk. Sadie Sink joins in a role that is yet to be revealed, while Jacob Batalon returns as Ned Leeds, and Marvin Jones III comes in as villain Tombstone. The film hits theatres at the last weekend of July 2026.
