His daughter, Ida Ali, got engaged to her longtime beau, Krish Agarwal. She shared an adorable video from the proposal day on Instagram today (July 12) and surprised her friends and social media followers. Krish proposed to Ida at the Ytresand beach in Norway on July 1. Ida’s friends showered love on the couple and sent congratulatory messages on Instagram.

Ida is Imtiaz and Preety Ali’s daughter. She is following her father’s footsteps. Ida has directed the short film Lift at age 17 and wrote the Amazon miniTV romantic drama Uljhe Hue. Besides this, she directed the short film, Maya in 2018. Apart from directing films, she founded a digital platform called Refresh that focuses on the youth and mental health. At a young age, Ida delivered a TEDx Talk about creative aspirations. She studied filmmaking at Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts in California.
