Sunita
Ahuja, the wife of Bollywood actor Govinda, recently featured in Maa Hai Na, hosted by Shilpa Shetty. After doing that show with her daughter, Tina Ahuja, Sunita has taken up a new challenge with her participation in Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa. It premiered today (June 27) on Netflix. Before entering Lock Upp, the star wife exclusively interacted with Zoom and discussed what she wouldn't fake for the cameras. Sunita also revealed whether she will remain her true self or be subtle on the Riteish Deshmukh and Farah Khan-hosted show.
Excerpts from Sunita Ahuja's interview:
Q1 - People have seen you unfiltered in interviews. Will Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa be the place where people will continue to see that or do you plan to be subtle on the show?Answer: I can never change myself. I am what I am wherever I go. In
Lock Upp also, people will see me the way I am.
Q2 - You're known for speaking your mind. Are you worried that your honesty could become your biggest strength or your biggest problem in the competition?Answer: Agar sach bolna galat baat hai, toh main galat baat maanne ko taiyaar hu.
But main kabhi jhooth nahi bolungi. I always speak the truth and that is my strength.
(Loose translation: If telling the truth is wrong, then I am ready to be wrong. But I will never lie.)Q3 - Who do you think is going to be your toughest competitor on the show?Answer: Let's see! I will try my best and give my best because I've never done reality shows. I don't know. Once when I go inside and meet the people, then I will come to know who is my competitor.
Q4 - If the makers had given you the chance to bring someone to join you on this journey, who would you have picked?Answer: I will decide the person who is like me – honest and
sach bolne wale (one who speaks the truth). I will pick that person.
Q5 - What's one thing you're absolutely not willing to fake for the cameras, no matter what the show demands?Answer: I will not say anything against my family for camera.
Family ka bohot tamasha hogaya. But it’s
Lock Upp show, not a family show. I wouldn't want anybody to speak about my husband and my kids.
Jo khel khelna hai khelo but family ke bal bute pe na khelo. I have a happy family.
Jo bhi hai accha time aata hai, bura time aata hai, uske baad phir accha time aata hai.
(Loose translation: I will not say anything against my family for the camera. There's been a huge scene involving the family. But it’s Lock Upp show, not a family show. I wouldn’t want anybody to speak about my husband and my kids. Play whatever game you want but don’t play it at the cost of your family. I have a happy family. Whatever it is, good times come, bad times come, after that good times come again.)
