Kapoor and Yash's Ramayana is one of the biggest theatrical releases of this year. The mythological epic, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is going to arrive in two parts. The first installment is lined up for a silver screen release on Diwali this year. After releasing a few promotional assets, the makers are reportedly to reveal the trailer of Ramayana: Part 1. Yes, you read that right! According to a news publication, Ramayana's trailer launch is expected to be held in the next 10 days. It might be unveiled in New Delhi. Read on to know more details.

As per
Variety India's report, the trailer of
Ramayana will be unveiled on July 18 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. It is expected to large-scale event, where director Nitesh and producer Namit Malhotra might be present. Apart from them, the film's cast members including
Ranbir, Sai Pallavi, Ravie Dubey, Rakul Preet Singh and Kunal Kapoor are likely to attend the grand event.
However, it isn't known whether Sunny Deol and Yash will be present. For the uninitiated, Ranbir portrays the role of Lord Rama, while Sai will be seen as Goddess Sita. Yash, on the other hand, essays the character of demon king Ravana. Sunny is associated with the project as Lord Hanuman and Ravie is Lord Lakshman. And while Kunal might be seen as Lord Indra, Rakul is expected to play the character of Surpanakha.Apart from the primary cast, Arun Govil, Indira Krishnan, Adinath Kothare, Sheeba Chaddha, Lara Dutta and others form the supporting cast of
Ramayana.

Earlier, at a promotional event of his film in Los Angeles, Ranbir opened up about doing
Ramayana. According to
The Hollywood Reporter India, the actor said his instinct reaction was 'no' when Namit offered him the project. And that's because the actor thought he wasn't fit and good enough for the mythological epic. "I think that fear very quickly turned into gratitude because opportunities like this were very much needed in my life," he said.
Talking about his preparation for the movie, Ranbir revealed it started when he saw Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan. The actor shared that it is deeply rooted in everyone and they are proud of the story.
