I have such a cool idea for it that I won't say."He also made it clear that a long wait is not necessarily on the cards either. He said, "I'm not saying it has to be five, six years from now. But I think people would be just as excited for it if it came a little down the road."
Barker also admitted that right now, everything feels a little overwhelming. "It's a whirlwind and I'm trying to figure it out," he said.Ahead of Obsession's release, Focus Features announced it had already re-teamed with Barker and Blumhouse-Atomic Monster on his next film, Anything But Ghosts. He is also slated to direct A24's The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. With so much already lined up, a sequel would have to wait its turn.
