Kalyan's wife Anna Lezhneva, now known as Anna Konidala, has made a appeal to her followers ahead of her birthday. Sharing a unseen photograph from one of the couple's earliest trips together, Anna wrote in detail on why she prefers to be addressed by her married name. In an Instagram note, she revealed that although the public came to know her as Anna Lezhneva, she officially became Anna Konidala after marrying the actor-politician in 2013. Her message won attention with fans, who praised the personal and thoughtful note.

Anna Konidala's Heartfelt Request To Fans

Anna Konidala took to Instagram on Monday to share a touching note explaining the significance of her name. Alongside a picture carrying the message, "Anna Konidala: A small request about my name," she also posted a cherished photograph of herself hugging Pawan Kalyan during their first trip together to Saint Petersburg, Russia. In her note, Anna mentioned she had wanted to make this request ever since joining Instagram but struggled to find the right words.

She also posted that most people continued to refer to her as Anna Lezhneva because that was the surname reported when news of her marriage became public. However, Anna revealed that her marriage certificate was the final official document which had the Lezhneva surname. From the day she married Pawan Kalyan, she legally adopted the surname Konidala and has identified with it ever since. "Please call me Anna Konidala. That's my name, and it's the one I feel like myself with," she wrote, thanking everyone for understanding her request.

Anna, a Russian-born model and actress, first met Pawan Kalyan while working on the Telugu film Teen Maar in 2011. Their relationship blossomed over the following years, culminating in their marriage on September 30, 2013, under the Special Marriage Act.

The couple are parents to Mark Shankar Pawanovich, while Pawan has also adopted Anna's daughter, Polena Anjana Pawanova, from her previous marriage.
