November 27, 2023, television actor Abhinav Shukla became a father. The actor and his beloved wife, Rubina Dilaik, were blessed with twin girls - Edhaa and Jeeva. Since then, the actor has been fulfilling the duties of a doting father to his two beautiful daughters. On Father's Day 2026, Abhinav spoke exclusively to Zoom about the biggest change in his life since becoming a dad. Apart from that, the Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka actor got candid about being a girl dad. He further admitted that the happiness and bliss Edhaa and Jeeva bring in his life is out of this world.

Talking about being a father to two girls,
Abhinav told us, "Daughters are sensitive, expressive and emotionally intelligent. I am loving the play time with them. The innocent questions, the genuine smiles, and the honest protests." The actor further shared that he has become 'domesticated' after becoming a dad. Abhinav, who is into mountaineering, had decided to do one peak every year. However, he takes less 'physical risks' now.
"But since daughters were born I have put my plan in abeyance. Also, I have started focusing on my own projects - something substantial and not fragile like in our industry," he added.Abhinav was also asked about his idea of fatherhood and if the reality was different than what he thought. Bigg Boss contestant stated that he has always been realistic and nothing has come as a big surprise for him."I have followed the journey of my nephew and niece, who were twins as well. So, I had a fair idea of what
fatherhood would be. Just that initial days were demanding due to lack of sleep, but the happiness and bliss that my daughters bring is just out of this world," he expressed.
Abhinav: Each day is Father's Day
As our conversation continued, Abhinav revealed if Father's Day feels more meaningful to him as he now celebrates it as a dad himself. Reacting to this, the actor mentioned, "While growing up, we didn't even know that there is something called Father’s Day. It's just picked up now. For me, each day is a Fathers Day. I am grateful to my father for raising us well and thankful to my daughters for adding bliss and meaning to life."On a concluding note, the actor summed up fatherhood in three words - 'loving the journey'.
