Cocktail
2, set to release this Friday, just cleared a major hurdle. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has granted the film an A (Adults Only) certificate, according to a report. The big relief for fans is that all romantic and intimate scenes in the film have been left completely untouched. Only minor audio changes were requested. The much-awaited sequel stars Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles.
Cocktail 2 Certified By CBFC: All You Need To Know
The CBFC passed
Cocktail 2 with an 'A' certificate on June 16. The good news is that the board made zero visual cuts. As per a Bollywood Hungama Report, the CBFC have kept the intimate and romantic scenes in the film as they were. However, the board did ask for a few small audio-level changes. A cuss word appearing in the film's subtitles was asked to be removed. Additionally, the word 'Agni' was replaced with 'Diya' at every point it appeared in the film.
One more change involved a reference to 'Jew on the run,' which the CBFC asked to be censored. The board's order does not explain the context in which this phrase was used. The film's runtime is reported to be around 150 minutes, that is 2 hours and 30 minutes. That makes it slightly longer than the 2012 original, which ran for 146 minutes. The original Cocktail had received a U/A certificate.
