Produced by Universal Pictures and Syncopy, The Odyssey minted a staggering $264.1 million in its opening weekend at the worldwide box office. It is to be noted that the movie set this record outside Nolan's Batman franchise.

Internationally, this project collected $139.6 million over the first weekend. Interestingly, it shattered the record of Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, which minted $131 million.
