Hema Malini reveals Dharmendra's last message
In a recent conversation with
Hindi Rush, Hema Malini reflected on the lessons Dharmendra often shared with her about the importance of family. She revealed that even in his final days, the veteran actor emphasized staying close to loved ones and making family a priority despite busy work schedules.Recalling his words, Hema said, "Dharam ji would always say, be with the kids as much as possible. Spend time with the children, with the family. He always said, be united with the family, that is very important in today's times, which doesn't really happen now."
She added that Dharmendra believed modern lifestyles often pull families apart and wanted everyone to remain connected. "These days, kids go their separate ways. This is exactly what he said, 'Be with the family. Be together with all of them. Work can keep happening but family should be given utmost importance,'" she shared.
Hema Malini praises Sunny and Bobby Deol
During the interview, Hema also spoke affectionately about Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol,
Dharmendra's sons with Prakash Kaur. Padma Vibhushan, India's second-highest civilian honour, by President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday. His wife, actress and politician Hema Malini, accepted the prestigious award on his behalf. An emotional Hema received the honour as their daughter, Ahana Deol, applauded from the audience, making it a poignant tribute to the veteran actor's enduring legacy in Indian cinema.
