Rajesh Sharma is currently battling a serious health scare after an insect bite turned into an infection. The veteran actor, known for his roles in Bollywood and Bengali cinema, was bitten while shooting for Prabhas' upcoming film. What started as a minor bite has now become a medical emergency, with doctors closely monitoring his condition at a hospital in Kolkata.

What Happened To Rajesh Sharma?

Rajesh Sharma was reportedly bitten by an insect during a shoot in Hyderabad. Sudipa Chatterjee issued a note regarding his health on behalf of his family in which she shared that Rajesh first noticed swelling in his leg but did not think much of it, believing it was just a normal bug bite.The note read, "Actor Rajesh Sharma reportedly suffered an insect bite-possibly from a bug or a poisonous spider-while shooting at Ramoji Film City for a film starring renowned actor Prabhas."

However, his condition worsened quickly. The infection spread from his foot to his knee, causing blisters and severe pain. He also developed a high fever and breathlessness soon, following which he was admitted to Manipal Hospital in Dhakuria, Kolkata, where he continues to 'battle high fever, breathlessness, and a rapidly progressing infection in his right leg'.The nore further added, "The infection has spread from his toes up to his knee, with large blisters developing over the affected area. According to Dr Avijit Bhattacharya, it is too early to make any definite assessment. Rajesh remains under close observation and is not yet out of danger." Medical experts are also concerned about the risk of a blood clot forming. If the clot travels to his lungs, it could turn life-threatening, making his recovery even more critical to monitor.His family, along with actor Prosenjit Chatterjee, has thanked fans, media, and the Bengal Motion Pictures Artists' Forum for their support.
