Looking back, the actor admitted he still wishes Bablu had not been killed off, calling it one of the biggest "what ifs" of his career. Mirzapur's early days. The actor confessed that he still wishes the makers had kept his character alive. "I wish they hadn't killed me." Vikrant explained that the cast and crew had embarked on the project with little expectation of the impact it would eventually have. "When
Mirzapur came my way, it was actually just a bunch of enthusiastic people coming together. It was simply a group of people who came together and said, 'Let's make this show,'" he recalled, saying no one imagined the series would go on to redefine India's streaming landscape.

Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi in Lucknow when the series premiered and being taken aback by the overwhelming response within hours. "I remember very vividly that I was in Lucknow the day the show came out," he said, adding that by the end of the day, a crowd of nearly 200–300 people had gathered outside the set after learning that "Bablu Bhaiya" was filming there. Vikrant revealed that fans even followed his car on bikes for selfies and autographs. "And that is when we realised that we'd actually made something good, something people were really enjoying watching," he recalled.
