Ahead of that, the makers have been dropping some exciting updates about Tom Holland’s superhero film. Recently, Marvel Studios’ head honcho, Kevin Feige, teased a new Avenger's appearance in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. During the appearance at BiliBili World in Shanghai on Saturday, Feige hinted about Florence Pugh’s Yelena’s appearance in a couple of Marvel films of the year 2026.

Yelena To Feature In Spider-Man: Brand New Day

According to a report published in Entertainment Weekly, Kevin Feige said that Florence Pugh’s Yelena might feature in a couple of upcoming Marvel movies. In a statement, the Marvel head indirectly confirmed by stating, “If you are a fan of Yelena, wait until Avengers: Doomsday. Yelena plays a big part in that.”

It has to be noted the crossover movie titled Avengers: Doomsday will be released in theatres on December 18. While hinting about Yelena’s appearance in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Feige said, “But if you don’t want to wait until then, you might see Yelena a little bit sooner in the movies.” It’s not an official confirmation but a clear hint about Yelena’s casting in the Spider-Man movie.

Who Is Yelena?

For the unversed, Yelena is an adoptive sister of Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff. She had first appeared in 2021’s Black Widow. She later appeared in three episodes of Hawkeye. She also joined the forces with several other misfit heroes in 2025’s Thunderbolts. Now, she is set to appear alongside that team, which was renamed the New Avengers at the end of their film in Doomsday. The film will also feature the cast members of Fox’s X-Men movies, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and several key stars from Avengers: Endgame.
