Alpha Box Office Collection Day 3: Alia Bhatt, Sharvari Film Sees 15 Per Cent Growth, Earns Rs 34 Crore

first female-led action drama in the YRF SpyVerse, Alpha, is performing steadily at the box office. The film, amid extreme social media negativity and mixed reviews, held its ground, and the audience cheered for Alia Bhatt and Sharvari. Alpha is steadily moving towards the half-century mark at the box office, and the first Monday will be crucial in deciding the film’s growth graph in the coming week. On Sunday, the Shiv Rawail directorial saw a 15.2 per cent escalation from its Saturday collection. According to reports, Alpha’s total after three days is Rs 34 crore.

As per Sacnilk’s early estimates, Alpha earned Rs 13.25 crore on Sunday. On the third day, the film’s India gross was reported at Rs 40.80 crore, while the India net total was Rs 34 crore. Alpha earned Rs 5 crore overseas, taking its gross collection to Rs 18.00 crore. Alpha’s worldwide collection is Rs 58.80 crore.

Despite heavy rains in many parts of India, including major cities such as Mumbai and Delhi, Alpha saw decent occupancy in theatres on Sunday. According to Sacnilk, the morning occupancy was 12.92 per cent. It grew to 38.46 per cent by the afternoon, and evening occupancy was reported at 49.38 per cent. However, by night, it dipped to 31.62 per cent.

Alpha follows the story of Colonel Fateh Singh Lakhawat (Bobby Deol) and his vengeance. After his experiment with the Alpha serum fails and kills R&AW Chief Vikrant Kaul's (Anil Kapoor) wife, he uses his daughter as a guinea pig to get the formula right. Vikrant is under the impression that his daughter is dead, but Fateh raises a killing machine who lacks emotions. Sita (Alia Bhatt) is trained to become an Alpha soldier. She has an extraordinary IQ and skills. However, when Sita learns about Fateh’s ulterior motives against India, she vows to kill him. Joining her is another Alpha woman (Sharvari) who has a special connection with Sita.

Alpha is the first female thriller in the spy universe. The film has no spies, but army and soldiers. In the end, it is confirmed that Alia and Sharvari will be featuring in some of the future SpyVerse movies. Dia Mirza has a cameo in the film too.
