As fans across the country celebrated 34 years of Shah Rukh Khan in Indian cinema, the actor returned to the coastal city where he spent his early years, turning the occasion into an emotional homecoming. Videos from the event have now gone viral on social media, showing the superstar dancing to his iconic songs, interacting with fans and celebrating his remarkable journey with unmatched energy and charisma.

34 years in the Hindi film industry on June 25, marking the anniversary of the release of his debut film
Deewana in 1992. Over the past three decades, the actor has transformed from a television star into one of Indian cinema's biggest global icons.
This year's celebration held additional significance as the actor chose to commemorate the occasion in Mangalore, Karnataka. Although
Shah Rukh was born in New Delhi, he spent the first five years of his life in the city between 1965 and 1970 while living with his grandfather, Ifthikar Ahmed, who served as the chief engineer at Mangalore Port.As news of his visit spread, thousands of fans gathered to welcome the actor. Several fan clubs and admirers shared videos and pictures on social media. The actor received a grand reception upon arriving in Mangalore on Thursday. Huge crowds assembled outside the airport to catch a glimpse of the superstar as he made his way through the city amid tight security arrangements. The actor saw similar crazy level of fanfare when he arrive to the airport to return back from the city.
Local police authorities, along with private security personnel, implemented elaborate crowd-control measures to ensure the actor's safety and maintain order. Additional staff members were also deployed at various locations due to the overwhelming turnout of fans.

At the event, Shah Rukh treated the audience to a memorable evening by performing to several of his most popular songs. Videos circulating online show the actor dancing to chartbusters such as
Jhoome Jo Pathaan and songs from
Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. However, one of the biggest highlights of the evening came when the superstar grooved to
Chammak Challo following repeated requests from the crowd. The energetic performance immediately became a fan favourite, with videos from the event quickly going viral across social media platforms.
Several clips also showed Shah Rukh addressing the audience and thanking fans for their love and support throughout his 34-year journey in the film industry. In true SRK style, he also said some of his famous dialogues including, "Itni shiddat se maine tumhe paane ki koshish ki hai" from
Om Shanti Om.Meanwhile, on the professional front, the actor is gearing up for his next big release,
King. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film features an ensemble cast including Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, and Deepika Padukone. The much-awaited action drama is scheduled to hit theatres on December 24, 2026.
