TN CM Vijay's Jana Nayagan Director H Vinoth Recalls 'Emotional Problems' Faced During Release Delay - EXCL

Nayagan, featuring Tamil Nadu CM Vijay in a lead role, is finally ready to release in theatres. Initially scheduled for a January 9 release, the H Vinoth film will now hit the big screen on July 23. In the last six months, the movie faced a few hurdles. Due to certification issues by CBFC, the project was delayed, and later, the entire film was leaked on the internet. Ahead of its big-screen release, Times Now did an exclusive interview with director H Vinoth. The filmmaker opened up about the emotional challenges team Jana Nayagan faced during release delay.

Speaking exclusively to Times Now, director H Vinoth said, "Yes, this has definitely been a tough journey, but the understanding that the producer and the actor of the film have... made the process easy." The filmmaker further revealed that producer Venkat Narayana gave assurance to Thalapathy Vijay when the film was delayed.

"Producer Venkat Narayana sir assured Vijay sir that no matter what happens, I will stand by your side and in return, that gave some level of comfort to Vijay sir.... and he (Vijay sir) also told him, 'Don't worry, (if) there is anything related to the film, if there's any help you need, I will be there for you'. Given that these two had a good equation and understanding, the major heat around the film was gone," added Vinoth.Continuing the conversation, the Jana Nayagan director recalled the emotional problems team faced during the release delay period. "But apart from that, the crew members of the film did go through some difficulties. We had emotional problems during this delay. We have really worked hard on the movie. It faced so many problems - financial issues... the problems of those who worked on this project. We had to face all this. Despite that, they took up the major heat... so we faced problems of limited capacity. If the film does really well, we will consider it as compensation for the problems we have endured."
