cinema lost a gem on Saturday morning as noted actor and filmmaker K Bhagyaraj passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest. He was 73. His sudden demise has left the state in mourning. From Rajinikanth and Nayanthara to Nassar, several South stars arrived at his residence to pay their final respects after his mortal remains were brought home from the hospital. Among them was Dhanush, who looked visibly shaken as he reached Bhagyaraj's Chennai residence. Unable to hold back his emotions, he quietly made his way through the crowd.

Rajinikanth tweeted, "For fifty years, in the Tamil film world, through his extraordinary talent and creativity, he has given many successful films and earned an indelible place in the hearts of Tamil people—our friend Mr. Bhagyaraj. His sudden passing causes me immense sorrow and shock." He also offered his deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. "Bhagyaraj's Rajan (whom I was introduced to 50 years ago) is no more today. Tamil-speaking our cinema has lost two Rajas within the same month," wrote Kamal Haasan.Several others, including Tamil Nadu Chief Minister
C Joseph Vijay, Khushboo Sundar, and Thiru, also remembered the late actor. From veteran artistes to younger stars, members of the film fraternity mourned his demise and paid heartfelt tributes to the legendary actor-filmmaker.Over his illustrious career, Bhagyaraj helmed over 25 films and starred in more than 75 as an actor.
