The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (Meity) said that this is a matter of concern, adding that every legal aspect of the issue will be examined. If necessary, a notice will be issued on WhatsApp as the government cannot compromise on users' digital safety, the government said.According to government sources, features such as username registration may pose risks to digital security as it could be misused by creating usernames in anyone's name.
