Several much-awaited Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu films are set to arrive on streaming platforms, bringing a mix of genres and stories to viewers. If you're looking for your next binge-watch, films like Drishyam 3 and Athiradi on Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, JioHotstar and ZEE5 are among the biggest releases to check out this week.
Kenatha Kanom - Aha Tamil
Kenatha Kanom is set in Ramanathapuram, a region grappling with severe drought, and follows the people of Kariyapattinam, a village facing an acute water shortage. A ray of hope emerges when residents learn of an ancient well believed to be situated on government land. However, when the well mysteriously disappears, a investigation begins, showing a web of problems, water-related conflicts and secrets. The film stars Yogi Babu, Lovelyn Chandrasekhar, Raichal Rabecca and George Maryan, and is among the final directorial works of filmmaker Suresh Sangaiah. It will stream from June 16.
Drishyam 3 - Prime Video
Drishyam 3 marks the return of Mohanlal as Georgekutty in the highly anticipated third installment of the acclaimed thriller franchise. Years after a life-altering incident, Georgekutty continues to shield his family while living under the constant burden of a dark secret. The story further explores his psychological struggles as it questions whether the truth behind Varun’s disappearance can remain a secret forever. After a successful theatrical run, the Malayalam blockbuster is now set for its digital premiere. It will stream from June 18 on wards.
Save The Tigers - JioHotstar
Save The Tigers Season 3 brings back the popular Telugu comedy series with a fresh twist. The story follows Ravi, Rahul and Vikram, three frustrated husbands who often complain about married life, until a divine intervention turns their world upside down. They are transported into alternate realities where they experience the success and lifestyles they once dreamed of. However, the trio soon knows that getting everything they ever wanted may not bring the happiness they expected. It is streaming from June 19 onwards.
Athiradi - SonyLIV
Directed by debutant Arun Anirudhan, the story follows Samkutty (Basil Joseph), an energetic engineering student determined to revive his college’s banned cultural festival. His plans take an unexpected turn when he crosses paths with Sreekuttan Vellayani (Tovino Thomas), a former goon turned eccentric musician, setting off a chaotic and humorous rivalry. Malayalam action-comedy Athiradi will be available for streaming in multiple languages, including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. It will stream from June 19 onwards.
Aashaan - Sun NXT
Directed by Johnpaul George, this Malayalam comedy-drama stars Indrans and Joemon Jyothir. The film follows a group of aspiring cinema enthusiasts as they chase their dreams while overcoming various personal and professional hurdles. It begins streaming on June 19.
Gu - ManoramaMAX
Written and directed by Manu Radhakrishnan, this Malayalam psycho-emotional horror fantasy features Saiju Kurup and Deva Nandha. The story unfolds around mysterious incidents connected to an ancestral home that conceals dark secrets, mixing parts of folklore, suspense and the supernatural. It streams from June 19.
M4M – Motive For Murder - Lionsgate Play
Set in Hyderabad, this Telugu thriller follows ACP Krishna and journalist Radha as they investigate a serial killer who recreates famous paintings using his victims. As the murders continue, the duo races against time to prevent the next staged crime. It premieres on June 19.
