Zuckerberg’s Meta is increasing its efforts to catch up with rivals like OpenAI and Google. The company has introduced a new AI tool that lets users create and edit images using everyday language, much similar to Gemini and ChatGPT. This image generation tool, called Muse Image, is the company’s first model developed by Meta Superintelligence Labs. It is now available through Meta AI.
What Is Muse Image
Meta’s Muse Image AI model creates images from text prompts, edits existing photos and generates visuals that users can download and share across Meta’s platforms. The tech firm says the AI model builds on its AI assistant,
Muse Spark and focuses on image creation instead of text-based conversations.According to Meta, the AI model can handle more detailed requests, such as generating images with readable text, including guides, posters, and infographics. It also supports creating functional QR codes with generated visuals.
Meta revealed that Muse Image will power new creative features across Meta’s platforms. The company is offering more than 30 AI-powered effects for Instagram Stories and is allowing users in select countries to generate images inside Meta AI chatbots on WhatsApp. Moreover, the company has also added a library of preset prompts inside
Meta AI to help users who are unsure where to begin. These suggestions can help them try different editing styles. For example, you can restore your old family pictures, test different hairstyles or transform images inspire by retro video games.
Is Muse Image Free To Use?
The company has said that it will gradually expand the support to more countries and additional platforms, including Messenger and Facebook. Meta also plans to make Muse Image available to advertisers and agencies through its Advantage+ creative tools in the coming weeks. As per the Zuckerberg-led company, Muse Image is available for free for all users through Meta AI. Users who need higher usage limits and additional features will be able to access them through the company’s subscription plans.
