Eetha: Anant Joshi Thought Shraddha Kapoor Would Have 'Starry Tantrums', Here's How She Surprised Him - EXCL

Joshi, last seen in Gullak 5, is currently looking forward to the release of Eetha. Directed by Laxman Utekar and starring Shraddha Kapoor in a lead role, the film is based on legendary lavani dancer and tamasha artist Vithabai Narayangaonkar. It is scheduled for a big-screen release on August 28, 2026. Before that, Zoom did an exclusive interaction with Anant, who shared his experience of working with his co-star Shraddha. The actor initially thought that the actress would've 'starry tantrums'; however, she left him surprised on set.

Speaking to us, Anant heaped praise on his Eetha co-star. The actor said, "Shraddha is so amazing. I thought she would be with all those starry tantrums, but everything was so opposite. We had a couple of scenes together, which were just between her and I. I thought she made me so comfortable doing those scenes that I didn't feel at any point all those things that I was earlier thinking, how am I going to say these lines and all those things."

The actor revealed that Shraddha made sure that everyone around her including him were comfortable. He further described his journey on Eetha as a memorable one. On being asked what attracted him to doing this film, he shared, "This project was absolutely a no-brainer because it was just not a regular project, no? Agar Laxman Utekar is calling you, and they are calling you to their office and saying, 'Shraddha ke saath ek film hai, would you do it?' So obviously, no-brainer whatsoever." He added he had dream team to work with on Eetha.As the conversation continued, Anant recalled watching Laxman Utekar's Chhaava, featuring Vicky Kaushal in a lead role. "When I saw Chhaava, I thought there were only a few directors left in our industry who still can so realistically portray larger-than-life characters. Similarly, Eetha was in that space. And then to be able to share the screen with Shraddha was another go-ahead. I think this is actually a dream. It was also Ajay-Atul's musical. Ek se badhkar ek cheez aa rahi thi," he added.
