The
first episode of Netflix's Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa was highly emotional for a few contestants. While Akanksha Chamola revealed that she and her husband, Bigg Boss 19 winner actor Gaurav Khanna, were headed for a divorce, actor Harshad Chopda became vulnerable as he revealed a secret that he had been holding on to for 16 years. On the show, before he was 'locked up', Harshad made a shocking confession that his girlfriend had cheated on him with his best friend and that is why he has remained closed and private in his personal life and doesn't share much on social media.

When Harshad was brought out on the show, co-host Riteish Deshmukh argued that he had been in the industry for the past 20 years but fans didn't even know 20 things about him. The actor agreed that he was a very private person and he went on to be labeled 'ungrateful' on the show in front of the fans.
Harshad told hosts Riteish and Farah Khan that he believed fans were only interested in his work but he stated, "I'll try and work on it. I want to work on it and be better and not be ungrateful." His cellmate on the show will be Shivangi Joshi, his co-star from
Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 4. Harshad drew the 'Expose' card on
Lock Upp, which meant that he or Shivangi had to reveal a secret. The actor volunteered and shared a shocking secret.He revealed, "I lost my friend and my girlfriend. At the same time. My girlfriend cheated on me with my best friend. From that time onwards, I'm a little wary. That's it, that is my secret." Afterwards, Shivangi tried to comfort Harshad, who seemed overwhelmed by saying the secret out loud. Fellow contestant Sufi Motiwala shared a heart as a support for Harshad and shouted out, "We love you!"

Harshad was visibly upset as he revealed that nobody knew about this incident and had kept it inside him for 16 years. The actor explained that he is very emotionally needy and becomes dependent on others quickly. Riteish told the actor that it was extremely brave of him to say this on
Lock Upp, while Farah shared that by saying this out loud, Harshad would be a little less burdened by the secret. She added, "You have taken the first step towards redemption and we are very proud of you."The new reality series
