While the post showcased the singer surfing and enjoying time by the sea, one particular image of him jumping into the water alongside a woman in a white bikini quickly sparked speculation among fans. Many believed the post was a subtle "soft launch" of a relationship. However, the rumours were soon put to rest after an SM Entertainment producer clarified the real identity, with the idol himself commenting on the post.
Mystery behind woman in Jaehyun's swimming photos
On June 26, NCT's Jaehyun uploaded a series of photos and videos from his holiday, showing himself surfing, relaxing by the beach and enjoying time in the sea. While many fans admired his toned physique and carefree vacation moments, one particular image quickly became the centre of attention. The photo showed Jaehyun jumping into the ocean alongside a woman. As the rumours gained traction, an SM Entertainment producer stepped in to clarify the situation through the comments section. The producer explained that Jaehyun had been spending time with his cousin during a busy schedule and had simply shared the photos to preserve happy memories.The producer wrote that it was unfortunate to see the dating speculation surrounding the innocent vacation post.
Jaehyun later personally put an end to the rumours by commenting, "My dearest cousin," confirming that the woman in the viral photo was a family member and not a romantic partner.
