BTS wrapped up the Europe leg opener of their ARIRANG World Tour with two sold-out concerts in Madrid, Spain, on June 26 and 27, where ARMYs turned the stadium into one giant choir by singing along to every song. During the Weverse live, ARMYs once again asked Jungkook to marry them. The BTS singer laughed off the proposal and made it clear that marriage isn't on his mind at the moment. "Don't say that, marry me. I still don't have plans to get married!!!" he said before cheekily dragging Suga into the conversation. "Tell that to Yoongi! Ask Yoongi hyung to marry you!" Jungkook joked, leaving fans in splits with his playful response and effortless humor.

Jungkook's playful suggestion wasn't random, it referenced one of BTS' longest-running inside jokes. The iconic "Yoongi, marry me" meme began in 2018 when an ARMY asked Suga to marry them during a solo livestream. During his Weverse live, Jungkook also reflected on filming the dance challenge with J-Hope, revealing that he had wanted to reshoot it because he felt he hesitated during the performance. However, knowing that J-Hope had injured his toenail and it had become bruised, Jungkook said he couldn't bring himself to ask his bandmate to film it again.
