What happened to Rajesh Sharma on set?
The actor was filming for a Prabhas film when he was bitten by either a bug or a poisonous spider on the Hyderabad set. After the shoot was completed for the day, the actor was in conversation with local technicians in an area surrounded by dense vegetation when he first felt a bit. Later, Sudipa Chatterjee shared a note on social media, which was later taken down, which explained his condition. The now deleted note also revealed that the infection spread from Sharma's toe to his right knee, with large blisters developing over the affected area.
The note stated, "According to Dr Avijit Bhattacharya, it is too early to make any definite assessment. Rajesh remains under close observation and is not yet out of danger." Sharma was admitted to Kolkata's Manipal Hospital, where he is battling 'high fever, breathlessness, and a rapidly progressing infection in his right leg.' The actor is also being monitored for a blood clot that could make his condition even more life-threatening.
