Toxic has dropped its second song, Madhosh, and fans cannot stop talking about Yash and Tara Sutaria's chemistry in the video. Released on July 21, the track shows a softer, more romantic side of Yash's character, Raya, as he falls for Rebecca, Tara's character. Sung by Siddharth Basrur, Madhosh was released after the first song, Tabaahi, which featured Yash with Kiara Advani. The track has been composed by the same trio behind last year's chartbuster Saiyaara, adding to the excitement around it. Kiara Advani and Nayanthara also make brief appearances in the video.
Toxic song Madhosh
Madhosh has been composed by Tanishk Bagchi, Faheem Abdullah, and Arslan Nizami, the same team behind last year's massive hit Saiyaara. The song has been sung by Siddharth Basrur, with versions recorded in all five languages the film is releasing in. Talking about the collaboration, composer Tanishk Bagchi mentioned that working with Arslan and Faheem again feels special, especially on a project as big as Toxic, and that Siddharth Basrur's vocals added real depth to the song.
This isn't Yash and Bagchi's first time working together either, as they had earlier teamed up for Gali Gali from KGF: Chapter 1, which also became a chartbuster. While Raya remains the same character introduced in Tabaahi, Madhosh reveals a lighter, more playful side through his bond with Rebecca, even as the visuals suggest he is still grappling with inner turmoil. Tara's character, meanwhile, is shown moving between happiness and heartbreak, giving the song its emotional core and adding another layer to the film's unfolding love story.
About Toxic
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups stars Yash in a dual role alongside Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, and Rukmini Vasanth. The film has been produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under their banners KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. Marking Yash's comeback since KGF 2 in 2022, Toxic is being described as a period gangster drama with a strong focus on action and stylised visuals, and is reportedly one of the most expensive Indian films ever made. The complete storyline is still being kept under wraps, but the trailer and songs suggest a larger-than-life world where Yash's character is romantically involved with more than one woman. Toxic is scheduled to release in theatres on August 26, ahead of Yash's next big release, Ramayana, in which he will be seen playing the role of Ravana.
