Roy is one of those who successfully transitioned from television to films and OTT. The Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai actress had been busy promoting her new web series, Ab Hoga Hisaab. During the promotions of her Amazon MX Player show, the actress finally opened up about dealing with hurt. Mouni, who has done films like Brahmastra and Gold, admitted that she easily forgives people. The actress also compared holding on to resentment to holding a hot coal in hand. How Mouni Roy deals with hurt

Speaking to The Free Press Journal, Mouni revealed she would forgive people easily when she was younger, and continues to do so. However, the only difference is that the actress earlier wouldn't forget the hurt caused, and now she feels God makes one forget it. This is something she realised with her personal and spiritual journey.

The Ab Hoga Hisaab actress also shared why she refuses to hold onto resentment. "If you don’t let it go, you will be the one who will be hurting the most. And sometimes the other person who hurt you is not even thinking about it, no matter how big a hurt they have caused you," she added.That said, Mouni admitted that there have been people who intentionally caused her pain and created negativity. She mentioned that there are some 'evil' people who go out of their way to hurt the ones. While she didn't called any person 'evil', but stated that their qualities are such.

When Mouni Roy spoke about being getting tags like 'Naagin'

Earlier, in an exclusive interview with Zoom, Mouni had reacted to being mocked and getting tagged as 'Naagin, Bhootni'. "I just think that as an actor, we all love our craft and what we do." The actress said when an actor does a historical, fantasy fiction or mythological character, audiences won't believe the person if they lack conviction. She believes one can't fool the audiences. "But if you truly believe in the world that you are put in, that these characters are actual people, if you live their journey and do it honestly, audiences also kind of resonate," she had mentioned.On the work front, Mouni's series, Ab Hoga Hisaab is streaming on Amazon MX Player. Before that, she was seen in Varun Dhawan-starrer Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. The rom-com opened to mixed reviews from critics and audiences.
