For the unversed, during the task, Ram kissed Shreya continuously on her forehead and cheek. In a recent episode, when Ram didn’t choose her to be a leader, she expressed her disappointment about him during a conversation with Shilpa Shinde. After her accusation, netizens started trolling Ram. But his actress-wife, Gautami Kapoor, is not ready to accept Shreya Kalra’s allegations. She defended her husband and said that he is not a ‘sleaze’ or a ‘tharki’.

Gautami Kapoor took to her Instagram handle and shared a video of herself expressing her disappointment over Shreya Kalra’s controversial claims about her husband. In the video, she dismissed the allegations and requested people not to pass harsh judgements based on edited episodes. She stated that she had decided not to speak up regarding the show, but after 2-3 days, she made up her mind to speak. Gautami said, “A lot of people are passing judgements and comments, saying that he's a sleaze, he's a tharki, and he's an old man who has some vested interests. So let me tell you guys that this is the way Ram is." (sic)

The Ghar Ek Mandir actress mentioned that she is not defending her husband for the way. According to her, Ram Kapoor is a man who is all heart and went into the show without any strategy or any plan. She clarified, "If he was being sleazy, then I'm sure the inmates would have called him out in the initial days of the show." Gautami also said that there is no uproar about it. She feels Shreya Kalra accused him after he didn’t support her to be the gang leader. The actress said, “So maybe he should have, but that's one's personal decision. So I don't want to comment on that. Also, I want to tell you that we watch the show in the comfort of our homes, and the inmates have been locked up for the last 4-5 weeks without any contact from the outside world.” Gautami ended her statement by telling the netizens not to forget that the episodes are edited. She asked people to be a little considerate of that and refrain from passing heavy and toxic comments. “I wish all the contestants, all the inmates, all the very best. I'm definitely going to support my husband till the very end. Ram, we love you, and we are rooting for you. All the best,” Gautami concluded.
