Aditya Dhar, Yami Gautam Visit Ujjain's Mahakaleshwar Temple With Son Vedavid And Family - Watch

Dhurandhar director Aditya Dhar and his wife Yami Gautam are among Bollywood’s popular power couples. Known for their simple and humble nature, the duo is also admired for their strong spiritual and religious beliefs and is often seen visiting temples across the country to seek blessings. On Wednesday, the filmmaker, along with Yami, their son Vedavid Dhar, and other family members, was spotted at the Shri Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. Yami’s brother Ojas Gautam, who was an assistant director on Dhar's blockbuster film, and their parents also accompanied them on the spiritual visit.

After offering prayers at the Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple, Yami said that she had always heard high praise about the place, even beyond ordinary admiration. She added that during the shooting of Oh My God 2, she could not visit the temple due to work commitments. She recalled that there had been a one-day shoot at the time.The actress added, "But when Baba's call comes, how can one not come? I am fortunate to have my entire family with me, Aditya, my brothers, sisters, and children. Baba has blessed us with his darshan (holy sight) and blessings."

Yami also praised the temple authorities for maintaining the shrine and ensuring hygiene and the safety of thousands of devotees.

In recent times, Bollywood celebrities such as Kailash Kher, Madhur Bhandarkar, Celina Jaitley, and others have also visited the iconic temple. Last month, Tamannaah Bhatia also visited the shrine and took part in the temple’s sacred Bhasma Aarti. Dhurandhar actress Sara Arjun, along with her parents, actor Raj Arjun and Sanya Arjun, was also spotted at the temple in April.Among the 12 Jyotirlingas in India, the Shri Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga holds special significance for devotees. Here, Baba Mahakal is worshipped facing south as per Tantric traditions, making it the only shrine in the world where the deity is placed in this direction. The Mahakal Temple is also known for its unique Bhasma Aarti, performed daily at around 4 am, which is also referred to as the Mangala Aarti.Actor Akshay Kumar often visits Ujjain to seek blessings at the Mahakaleshwar Temple. Earlier this year, he visited the revered shrine along with his mother-in-law, veteran actress Dimple Kapadia, to offer prayers during the promotions of Bhooth Bangla. Tiger Shroff also visited the sacred temple in March.
