Sharing a chart that compared global cancer rates among people under the age of 50, Kangana claimed that India has one of the best diets in the world and urged people not to be influenced by international food trends. The actress advised Indians to avoid ultra-processed foods.
Kangana Ranaut's take on protein intake
Kangana Ranaut took to social media to share her thoughts on India's dietary habits, claiming that Indians already have one of the healthiest diets in the world and do not need to follow Western food trends. The actress posted a chart showing global cancer rates among people below the age of 50. In the chart, India appeared among the countries with comparatively lower cancer rates, prompting Kangana to credit the country's traditional eating habits.Sharing the chart, Kangana wrote, "Dear Indians, we have the best diet, we don't need to be influenced by anyone as far as our food is concerned, eat whole foods minimise your intake of ultra processed foods like protein shakes or junk." She then added that too much protein is no good and eating clean is the way forward by writing, "Yes too much protein makes you dumb, eat clean eat light and remember movement is medicine."
While Kangana did not cite any scientific studies to support her claim, she emphasised eating minimally processed foods and maintaining an active lifestyle. For the uninitiated, Kangana also runs a cafe called The Mountain Story, located in Prini, Manali, Himachal Pradesh. It officially opened on February 14, 2025.
