Marvel Boss Kevin Feige 'Definitely' Wants Miles Morales' Spider-Man To Join The MCU; Know More

have long wanted to see Miles Morales enter the multiverse in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Now, the Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige revealed that there is a strong possibility that a live-action Miles Morales will be seen on the big screen. The fan-favourite character became more popular after the animated feature Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018), which launched the award-winning trilogy. It is set to end with Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse on June 18, 2027. Shameik Moore voices the character in all three films of Sony Pictures’ animated Spider-Verse franchise.

Kevin Feige on Miles Morales joining the MCU

In an interview with China’s Watching Hollywood, Feige seemed optimistic that the alternate universe Spider-Man would join the MCU once the acclaimed animated trilogy would complete in 2027. He confirmed, "But yes, we definitely have plans [for a live-action Miles], and I think a live-action Spider-Man movie has this destiny: to add Miles sometime after the Spider-Verse series ends."

In 2023, Sony Pictures head Amy Pascal had also confirmed that a live-action Miles Morales movie was in development. Feige further revealed that more Spider-Man films are coming. He added, "We’ve been thinking and discussing more Spider-Man adventures, regardless of agreements or contracts. My production partner, Amy Pascal, is already working on it, and we’ve had in-depth discussions about what the next two, three, four, and five Spider-Man movies might be about." Moore will reprise his voice role as Miles in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, where his character is on the run and trapped in an alternate universe after the events of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023). Miles must try to save his family before it is too late.

Miles Morales mentions in the MCU

The fourth film starring Tom Holland, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is releasing in theatres on July 30. Before that, the MCU has dropped hints about Miles. In Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), the criminal character of Aaron Davis (Donald Glover), aka Prowler, the uncle of Miles, was introduced. He mentions his nephew at one point.

Later in the 2021 film Spider-Man: No Way Home, Tom Holland’s Peter Parker meets other multiverse versions of the superhero played by Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire. There, Jamie Foxx's villain Electro states, "Somewhere there’s bound to be a Black Spider-Man." Fans were delighted with the prospect of Spider-Man Miles in the future. Many have already fancasted actors like Stranger Things star Caleb McLaughlin as the webslinger in the MCU.
