Tiwari’s Ramayana is a two-part franchise. While the promotional tour for the first installment will commence soon, the second part is in the production stage. The trailer of the magnum opus was shown at a special event in Delhi today (July 18). The cast and team of Ramayana were present. Sunny Deol, who will be seen as Hanuman in the film, joined the event amid a hectic schedule. Addressing the media and other political and spiritual leaders and dignitaries, Deol said he still has a long way to go on the project and is confident that the audience would love watching Hanuman on the big screen.
Sunny Deol believes every Indian will watch Ramayana in theatres
Sunny said at the
Pratham Sankalp event, “
Maine abhi kaam thoda sa hi shuru kiya hai iss picture pe. Mujhe bohot aage badhna hai. Ramayana hum hindustaniyon ke liye sabse badi cheez hai. Main Wahe Guru ji ka shukriya ada karta hu ki mujhe mauka mila Hanumanji ke kirdar ko nibhane ka. Main puri koshish karunga ki main sahi tarah se nibha saku kyunki Hanumanji ke character ko nibhana aasan nahi hai par maza bohot aayega. Voh natkhat hai, innocent hai, taqatvar hai aur aap sab ke pyaare hai. Aur Ramji ke bhakt hai. Aap sab ki blessings chahiye hume. Namit Malhotra ne itna bada project liya hai. Mujhe yakeen hai, har Hindustani Ramayana dekhne jayega.”(Translation: I have shot only a few portions for Ramayana and have a long way to go. Ramayana is a big thing for Indians. I thank Wahe Guru ji for blessing me with the chance to play Hanumanji. I will try my best to do it with honesty because this is a big responsibility. It will be a lot of fun too. Hanumanji is mischievous, innocent and powerful; Ramji’s devotee too. We seek your blessings. Namit Malhotra has taken a big project. I am sure every Indian will watch Ramayana.)
