WhatsApp
keeps experimenting when it comes to new features. Now, recent reports suggest that the users will soon be able to send text messages that can only be viewed once before disappearing permanently. As of now, the feature is in development and could get to see the light in a month or so. According to a report published by WEbetaInfo, the references of the feature have been spotted in the recent beta versions of WhatApp for both Android and iOS. Nonetheless, the feature is not been out there for testing until now. With this move, WhatsApp is trying to offer more control to the users.Mark Zuckerberg Is Investing In AI, But Meta Workers Are Upset About It
The feature could serves as a major midway because until now only the media could be shared in the once view format, which means sensitive messages were left out hanging and the only option for the sender was to delete for everyone. With this feature in action, the users will be able to send a message in the once view format without worrying about it being misused. If we go by the report, users will reportedly be able to activate the feature by long-pressing the send button after typing a message. They will get to see a Send as View Once option, which will deliver the text in a format that it will vanish after viewing once. This will also prevent the message from being copied, shared, or forwarded. It is also being said that the feature will be working in both personal chats and group chats which will be a plus. Nonetheless, it will be unavailable in WhatsApp channels. One thing that readers should know is that WhatsApp has not announced anything officially, so they should take the information with a grain of salt.
