Tom Holland to Priyanka Chopra, everybody is praising the indie horror film Obsession, which has already grossed over $300 million worldwide. Written and directed by Curry Barker, the feature film was made on a budget of $750,000. The film has made overnight stars of its leads Michael Johnston and Inde Navarrette. Focus Features, which distributed the horror film, planned to bring it earlier this month for its digital debut. But seeing how Obsession continued to remain in the top five list, it was delayed. Now, it was announced that Obsession will be released for digital purchase and rent on June 30. Find out more details below.

While theatres are still running the buzzy horror film, some viewers might want to watch Barker's film from the safety of their home. It is most likely that in India fans can buy or rent
Obsession on Amazon Prime Video from June 30. Eventually, it is due to premiere on the streaming platform Peacock internationally. As JioHotstar debuts the same Peacock titles on its platform for India, viewers will most likely be able to watch it if they are subscribers within the next few weeks.
The Hollywood film premiered in theaters on May 15 and opened with $17 million, never looking back. In the US, it stayed in the top five at the
box office for six weeks in a row.
What is Obsession about?

Barker's script focuses on a young man named Baron Bailey aka Bear, played by Michael Johnston , who is in love with his childhood friend Nikki, played by Inde Navarrette. Bear, who works in a music shop, finds a supernatural toy called One Wish Willow. One night, a frustrated Bear wishes for Nikki to fall in love with him and she does. But that love has some devastating results, including some that Bear might have a hard time facing.
The supporting cast of
Obsession includes Cooper Tomlinson, Megan Lawless, and Andy Richter. Director Barker also has a voice role as the voice of the One Wish Willow customer service representative.
