Gourav, who is known for films like Tu Yaa Main and Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, recently explored documentary storytelling with Voices of the Land. The docu-series, which is streaming on JioHotstar, features Adarsh exploring different parts of Northeast India. Interestingly, the Bollywood actor had travelled to a few states there earlier. During an exclusive interview with Zoom, Adarsh opened up about his experience of travelling across different places for his docu-series. The actor revealed that he had not misconceptions about Northeast India or its people. Here's what he said.

Speaking exclusively to us, Adarsh Gourav shared, "I had travelled to the Northeast myself before this, multiple times. In 2020, I went to Kaziranga in Assam to volunteer with the Wildlife Trust of India. So, I had worked with baby rhinos, and I went for leopard rescue missions, and I went to see how elephants get trained by their mahouts in Kaziranga. So, I have always been interested in this domain."

The actor also revealed that he visited Meghalaya with his girlfriend last year, explored the place well and jumped off cool points there. When it comes to Voices of the Land, the actor confessed he was excited to know more about the state he had fallen in love with. "People were really so loving and so genuine. There is not even an iota of fakeness of any kind, like wanting to please one another, or there being any malice in the intention. It was so clean, and there is something so pure about the people over there," he mentioned. Adarsh Gourav reveals The White Tiger changed his life In the same conversation, Adarsh stated that The White Tiger with Priyanka Chopra and Rajkummar Rao changed his life. "It just helped me put the spotlight on me. Sometimes actors can be working very well for years without the spotlight shining on them, and for that to happen, it is a matter of extraordinary luck," he said.The actor further added that it wasn't his first film, and he had been working for many years before that. However, people didn't know that he worked for many years before the Priyanka and Rajkummar-starrer. That particular movie not only put him in spotlight, but also gave him a chance to have a career, mentioned Adarsh.On the work front, Adarsh will reportedly be seen in the second season of Alien: Earth.
