Ansiba Hassan Alleges Police Bias In AMMA Investigation, Says She Will Fight Legally

Hassan has criticised the police and legal system, alleging bias in the handling of her case involving actors Tiny Tom, Lakshmipriya, and her husband Jayesh. In a social media post, she claimed authorities attempted to protect the accused instead of getting her justice and questioned lack of proper steps to look into the matter, including the absence of an FIR and improper recording of statements. She also mentioned that she faced personal and professional hardship for taking a moral stand. Ansiba, was recently seen in Jeethu Joseph, Mohanlal's thriller Drishyam 3.

Ansiba Hassan also tagged Kerala Chief Minister Chief Minister VD Satheeshan and Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala sharing her frustration over the handling of the case. Ansiba posted that she is aware of the challenges ahead but remains determined to continue her legal fight.

In her post, Ansiba raised concerns about the way the case was handled, alleging that a preliminary inquiry was conducted without registering a formal FIR. She also claimed that statements from involved parties were recorded in an “improper” manner. Further, she alleged that the accused publicly dismissed her complaint while praising the police, while she herself did not receive official reports as required under procedure. She called the situation as unfair and questioned the integrity of the investigation.

Ansiba Hassan Gets AMMA notice

The Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) issued a show-cause notice to Ansiba Hassan, stating that she had spoken publicly about the organisation in the media and online, allegedly violating its bylaws. AMMA said the issues should have been resolved internally, adding that airing them publicly had damaged the organisation’s reputation and image.

However, Ansiba responded that her dispute with actors Tiny Tom and Lakshmipriya is personal and has no connection with the organisation. She also questioned why disciplinary action was being taken against her alone, while no action had been initiated against the other individuals, despite her complaints against them.

What Is Ansiba Hassan AMMA Controversy About?

On May 23, Ansiba Hassan alleged that actor Tiny Tom and a section of forum members targeted her with communal remarks and engaged in character assassination. She said this alleged harassment made her to resign from AMMA during interviews. The Malayalam actress also claimed that the AMMA leadership did not support her when another female committee member filed a false police complaint against her. In Kochi, while speaking to the media, Tiny Tom denied the accusations against him and stated the allegations were not true.
