Mohanlal has once again captured the internet’s attention, this time with a lively dance performance to Dhanush’s popular track Megham Karukatha from Thiruchitrambalam. The song is known for its choreography and became an award-winning number. The performance took place during a star-studded event in Germany and has since gone viral on social media. Saniya Iyappan shared glimpses of the performance on Instagram, where she and Mohanlal can be seen energetically dancing to the upbeat number.

Saniya captioned her post celebrating Mohanlal’s charm and the experience of performing alongside the veteran actor. Saniya also shared a photo with Mohanlal, calling him 'Pookie Lalettan,'.The performance was part of The Complete Actor Mohanlal Live in Germany: Beyond the Screen, a cultural stage show held at the Rudolf Weber Arena in Oberhausen on June 26. The event brought together several artists to celebrate Indian cinema for the European diaspora.
About Mohanlal's upcoming films
Mohanlal will soon be seen in Mohanlal’s Athimanoharam which will release worldwide in theatres on December 24. The release date was revealed along with a new poster featuring Mohanlal and Meera Jasmine, who play the lead pair. Directed by Tharun Moorthy, the film marks his second collaboration with Mohanlal after the 2025 blockbuster Thudarum. Production is nearing completion, with the director confirming that around 80 percent of the shoot has already been wrapped following the latest schedule, leaving only the final phase of filming.
The film is written by Ratheesh Ravi and produced by Ashiq Usman under his banner. The technical crew includes cinematographer Shaji Kumar, composer Jakes Bejoy, editor Vivek Harshan and sound designer Vishnu Govind. He was last seen in Drishyam 3 a crime thriller written and directed by Jeethu Joseph. The film opened to mixed reviews at the box office and serves as a sequel to Drishyam 2 (2021) and the third installment in the popular Drishyam franchise.
