Shahid
Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna headlined Cocktail 2 recorded one of the better opening weekends for Bollywood in 2026. The urban rom-com crossed the Rs 50 crore mark in three days despite an 'A' certificate, signalling acceptance by the audience. After a winning Sunday, all eyes were on the make or break Monday collections and from the looks of it Cocktail 2 has managed a decent hold on its Day 4.
Cocktail 2 Day-Wise Box Office Collection
The Homi Adajania directorial took a strong opening of Rs 14.10 crore on Friday, after which it witnessed an impressive growth to collect Rs 17.15 crore on Saturday. While it grew further on Sunday, the jump wasn't as big, with Rs 18.85 crore coming in. With this, Cocktail 2 crossed Rs 50.10 crore in three days.
Now, with momentum on its side,
Cocktail 2 entered the all-important weekdays. According to Sacnilk, the film crossed Rs 6.35 crore at the time of writing on Monday, taking its 4-day total to Rs 56.45 crore The final numbers is expected to be a bit higher. Nonetheless, Cocktail 2 has witnessed a drop of around 50 per cent from its opening day. While this is not necessarily a negative sign, a figure of Rs 7 crore plus would have ensured a much healthier first week total for the love triangle.Meanwhile, Cocktail 2 has brought a much-needed respite for Shahid Kapoor who has been searching for a clean hit for a while. His last two releases, Deva and O Romeo could not leave a mark at the box office. Thus, he needed to bounce back with this one and going by the collections so far, Cocktail 2 will likely end Shahid's search for a hit. Also, this will be second consescutive successfull film starring Shahid and Kriti Sanon after their 2024 film Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. For Rashmika, Cocktail 2 would be yet another winner after the likes of Pushpa 2 and Chhaava.
Cocktail 2 Eyes Rs 75 Crore In First Week
For a chance to go past the Rs 100 crore mark, Cocktail 2 would ideally need to touch Rs 75 crore by the end of its first week. With Imtiaz Ali's Main Vaapas Aaunga showing a rare peak in its second week and Akshay Kumar's Welcome To The Jungle set to arrive this Friday, Cocktail 2 would need to bring in strong numbers over the next three days till Thursday.
