South film industry woke up to heartbreaking news on Saturday (June 27) as veteran actor-director K Bhagyaraj passed away following a cardiac arrest. He was 73. Just a day before his sudden demise, he had attended the wedding celebrations of Khushbu Sundar's daughter. As news of his passing spread, fans and paparazzi gathered outside his residence, where his mortal remains were brought a few hours later. Actress Radikaa Sarathkumar accompanied Bhagyaraj's family in the ambulance carrying his mortal remains and stood by them during the difficult time. However, overwhelmed by the media attention, she made an emotional appeal for privacy.

K Bhagyaraj's mortal remains were brought home from the hospital, a large crowd was seen outside his residence. As the family tried to move the body out of the ambulance, Radikaa emotionally urged everyone to step back and respect their privacy during the difficult moment.An emotional Radikaa told the photographers, "A humble request to all the press here. Cinema is our occupation, but we are also humans at the end of the day. If you want drama for the sake of TRP ratings, I will deliver that through films. Here, give us some privacy, please."

Having started his journey in cinema as an assistant to filmmaker Bharathiraja, Bhagyaraj later built an illustrious career, directing over 25 films and appearing in more than 75 as an actor.
