Amid this, her Dilwali Dulha Le Jayegi co-star Sorab Bedi faced online criticism after a video of his conversation with the paparazzi went viral. Following a major backlash, the actor issued a clarification on his Instagram and requested people not to misunderstand what he said.

Taking to his Instagram stories, Sorab shared a video and issued a clarification stating he was surrounded by a lot of paps and was asked many questions at the same time. He revealed that not every question was clearly audible amid the crowd. The television actor further claimed that a paparazzo asked him why
Sanchita had been calling him. To which, Sorab said that he was in touch with the actress even when he was in Siliguri.
The actor went on to address another part of the interaction which surfaced on social. The Dilwali Dulha Le Jayegi actor further claimed that someone also questioned him why the late actress spoke to him and shared her worries. To this, Sorab mentioned, "Thik hai woh pareshan thi isliye bata rahi thi."According to Sorab, people took his comment out of context. In his video message, the actor further requested all not to twist his words. "Har cheez ko galat mat liya karo yaar. Itna bewakoof main bhi nahi hoon aur itna bedil mai bhi nahi hoon," the TV actor said. He went on to share another video on his IG stories to show everyone the situation he was dealing with.
