Raina returned with India's Got Latent season 2, much to everyone's delight. The stand-up comedian faced a lot of legal troubles after objectionable remarks were made in the first season. The new one premiered with Alpha actresses Alia Bhatt and Sharvari as guests. After it worked well, Samay announced a new episode featuring comedians Kiku Sharda, Chandan Prabhakar and writer Haarsh Limbachiyaa. During this episode, Haarsh and Kiku took hilarious digs at the stand-up comedian over his past legal troubles.

At one point in the Netflix show, Haarsh took a dig at
India's Got Latent 2's Samay about his past legal troubles. The writer said, "Say what you will, but I never made it to the highest court. He has a monthly pass. He goes there and marks his attendance. " Haarsh joked that whenever Samay goes to the court, he tells people to mark him present and later worry about the scandal.
On the other hand, Kiku Sharda look at the cue card and asked the stand-up comedian about the long list of sponsors for his show. Taking a dig at how Samay's show often gets torn down, the comedian stated that its sponsors would only be cement and metal.

Before the episode premiered on the streaming giant, Samay shared a
heartfelt note on his Instagram stories for Haarsh, Kiku and Chandan. The stand-up comedian revealed that he grew up watching other two comedians and shows written by Haarsh. "All of them made me laugh so much and shaped my comedy in a big way. Tonight I’m going to do Latent with them. I can’t believe it! I’m so excited for you guys to see me jamming with my comedy heroes" On a concluding note, he called his guests 'veterans'.

India's Got Latent season one, which used to stream on YouTube, landed in controversy. It all happened after Ranveer Allahbadia made an obscene remark to a contestant during one particular episode. Following this, there were multiple FIRs and legal proceedings against the creators and others associated with the show. Owing to the massive backlash on social media, the stand-up comedian removed all of his season episodes from YouTube.
This year, he returned with a stand-up called Still Alive. Post its success, he surprised everyone with the new season of
India's Got Latent.
