Tushar Hiranandani on Rajkummar Rao not winning National Award for Srikanth
While
Srikanth won the National Film Award in the Best Hindi Film category, Rajkummar Rao lost the Best Actor honour to Mammooty and Kartik Aaryan. When asked if Rao deserved the award, Tushar told Zoom, “I wish everyone wins the National Award. It was a tough call. It was a tough year for actors. It is not right on my part to say who deserved and who did not. The jury decided the best.”Nidhi added, “If you ask a filmmaker, we will always feel that our film deserves everything. The jury makes the right decision based on the material they watch. Who are we to question it? If
Rajkummar was the only person to do this film and bring the part to life, then yes. There is no doubt about it.”
