Cafe, starring Vikrant Massey, Vedika Pinto and Mahima Makwana, premiered today (July 24) on Netflix. Directed by Ruchir Arun, the web series is an adaptation of Divya Prakash Dubey's best-selling book of the same name. Talking about his OTT series, Ruchir exclusively told Zoom that a fight sequence in the show is different from the book. The director admitted that he was nervous while shooting the scene. Apart from that, he shared his experience of directing Vikrant, and revealed that he was always the first choice for Chander's character. Here's everything Ruchir shared with us.

On being asked which scene was challenging for him to shoot, Ruchir told said that everything was 'challenging'; however, once it was done everything felt like a 'walk in the park'. He further spoke about fight sequence which happens towards the end of his series
Musafir Cafe."There is a scene of disagreement between two protagonists that happens in the show which is different from what's in the book. The outcome of that kind of changes from what was in the book. And we were a little nervous about shooting that scene. Because, again, there are so many ardent fans of the work. And how are they going to react to this change? We were kind of apprehensive about it," he told
Zoom.
The director further added, "When the whole thing came together, when the actors performed and when we put the whole thing on the edit, the end turned out so beautiful that we are pretty sure that even if people are fans of the book, they would still appreciate the direction the show has taken."
Ruchir Arun praises Vikrant Massey
Continuing the chat, Ruchir admitted that it was easy to direct Vikrant as he is a 'fun' actor. The director further revealed that Massey was always the first choice for the Netflix series. "He's also such a giving actor. His co-stars, Vedika and Mahima, also really enjoyed working with him. He also gave them space to perform."
