the trailer of Ramayana got delayed, leading to disappointment among fans, the attendees of San Diego Comic-Con 2026 were in for a visual treat. NRI guests were particularly impressed with the scale, cinematic appeal and performances. Ramayana has been mounted on a multi-crore budget, and the makers are promising to deliver a global blockbuster rooted in Indian culture and mythology. According to a viral video, the attendees of Comic-Con 2026 in San Diego received a special gift from the team of Ramayana. The authenticity of the video couldn’t be verified.

In the video, the recipient found a special note from
Ramayana’s team. A pink box, with Prime Focus written on the flap, was opened. A magnificent shankh (conch shell) was wrapped in soft cloth. The gold
shankh has intricate carving that was related to
Ramayana. The video went viral on the internet after the event.
Ramayana trailer postponed
San Diego Comic-Con 2026 was attended by Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and producer Namit Malhotra. The trailer was scheduled to be unveiled officially on July 24 at 8 AM IST. However, in a statement, Malhotra revealed that the much-anticipated asset was postponed. His statement read, "Today is a very special moment for our Ramayana. My dream of taking Ramayana to the world is now a reality with our partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment. In light of the above, we will be launching our trailer globally at a later date."He added, "In over 100+ years of Indian cinema, this will become a moment of great pride where Ramayana will be shown to the entire world like any major global Hollywood film. This is special as it opens the door for people around the world to discover the richness of our culture and our stories with renewed pride and enthusiasm.”The statement indicated that the
trailer was postponed due to the students’ protest over the NEET paper leak fiasco. Reportedly, the makers are planning to release it between July 29 and July 31. There is no confirmed development. Before heading to San Diego Comic-Con 2026, the team of
Ramayana held a special preview at the
Pratham Sankalp event in Delhi on July 18. Since then, multiple versions of the trailer were ‘leaked’ on the internet with no verification. Two trailers were certified by the CBFC.
