Google Photos Brings Video Remix Feature, Here's Everything You Can Do With It

Google Photos has brought a new feature dubbed Video Remix, which is an artificial intelligence-backed editing feature that works on the Gemini Omni model to transform short video clips with stylised effects and visual additions. The tool lets users apply cinematic lighting, background changes, and artistic filters, with the help of preset templates rather than conventional editing tools. and is available for all Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers. As of now, the feature is being rolled out for regions like Egypt, Colombia, Bangladesh, Argentina, Indonesia, Brazil, Pakistan, Mexico, South Korea, Japan, Philippines, US, and Turkey.With Video Remix, users will be able to pick a video from their Google Photos app and transform it using preset templates. The options available under Video Remix are cinematic relighting for darker clips, background replacement, and artistic styles like watercolour, oil painting, and raw sketchbook. The feature can be accessed via the Create tab alongside Remix for images, Photo to Video, and Collages. Furthermore, Google also introduced the image-based Remix feature last year, and Video Remix now extends similar capabilities to videos. Currently, Video Remix supports videos of up to 10 seconds as of now. All users selecting longer clips must first choose a 10-second segment before creating the edited version. Google said generating a remixed clip can also take up to two minutes to give the results. The company has also expanded its AI-powered editing tools in the Photos app with new features like blemishes, brighten eyes, white teeth, and more.
